The Rare Moment Kim Jong Un Couldn’t Hold Back His Tears
Kim Jong Un showed a rarely seen emotional side during a ceremony honoring North Korean soldiers who had taken part in overseas military operations alongside Russia.
The event paid tribute to the soldiers and remembered those who did not return. Families of fallen servicemen were also present as portraits of the soldiers were displayed and tributes were paid in their memory.
During the ceremony and commemorative performance, cameras captured Kim Jong Un appearing visibly emotional. At one point, he could be seen holding a tissue and wiping his eyes — an unusual public moment for the North Korean leader.
The footage, originally broadcast by North Korean state television KCTV, offered a rare glimpse of Kim showing emotion during an official event.
